The characteristics of this institute are to integrate cross discipline resources within the college, develop the combination of industry, official and university, combine theory and practice, and cultivate scientific evidence, strategic thinking, and risk management of food safety professionals. The institute’s faculty and students reflect the multidisciplinary nature, including food science, public health, sanitary inspection, and risk analysis. Our mission is to establish a highly professional environment and curriculum that fit our food safety needs. To pursue this mission, our program provides resourceful, comprehensive, and rigorous education in order to cultivate students to have interdisciplinary ability in food safety, health risk assessment, and risk management and communication for addressing any food safety issues.
